We are pleased to inform you that WIM has established a WIM Millennials Committee last year comprising young professionals of both gender and representing all the three major races in Malaysia. This Committee will be organising a 2-day Summit on 24-25 Oct 2023 at the One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya.
The Committee has invited Y.A.B. Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Rural and Regional Development to be our Guest-of-Honour to declare open the Summit. Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Andrew Sheng has agreed to present a Keynote Address on the National Economic Plan, “Re-thinking the NEP for the Knowledge-based Economy”. He is a renowned global economist, once named by Time magazine as one of the 100 top thinkers of the world. He is a Malaysian and heads a think-tank in Hong Kong.
This Summit will be held in celebration of WIM’s 30th Anniversary. WIM does not receive any annual government grant and relies on income derived by conducting a British MBA Programme since year 2000 and rental income derived from our 6-storey building, Wisma WIM at Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, 60000 Kuala Lumpur – which is free of encumbrances.
One of WIM’s biggest contributions to our country is having organised throughout the years 774 courses/events benefiting 36,514 participants, a majority of which are free training courses in all the states of Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak in Small Businesses and Basic ICT. The participants of such courses include Single Parent Women, Rural Women, Women in the Estates and Plantations, Women in Prisons, etc. Way back in the 7th Malaysia Plan, WIM has been cited as a women’s organisation which is contributing positively in the Plan’s Women in Development chapter.
As this will be the first time we are organizing such an intellectual event for the Millennials, WIM seeks your kind consideration and support by becoming our Summit Sponsor.
The benefits of a Summit Sponsor are:
- Platinum Sponsor for a sum of RM50,000 will be entitled to 50 free participants (normally at RM2,400 each) and one page in our Souvenir Programme to promote company’s business activity
- Gold Sponsor for a sum of RM40,000 will be entitled to 40 free participants (normally at RM2,400 each) and one page in our Souvenir Programme to promote company’s business activity
- Silver Sponsor for a sum of RM30,000 will be entitled to 30 free participants (normally at RM2,400 each) and one page in our Souvenir Programme to promote company’s business activity
All the above Sponsors will be entitled to i) Their logo being placed at the stage backdrop ii) 2 seats in the Sponsors’ tables iii) Any corporate pamphlets or corporate gifts to be placed in the Summit bags iv) Free booth at the Hotel to display company’s products.
